John Irving is one of my favorite authors. Appreciate the quotes and really like the advice you offer with each. I am currently writing my third novel and have been stuck about 2/3 through. I am one of those who writes a meticulous first draft so when I get stuck, I get really stuck. I am going to give the quick first draft process a try to just push through the last third of my novel. Maybe a different approach will be the fresh approach I need!
